Headlining this year’s Fortnitemares event, reggaeton global ambassador superstar and four-time Latin GRAMMYⓇ winner J Balvin will awaken your spirit in the Afterlife Party — a special performance in Party Royale featuring his biggest hits and the debut of his brand new song with Sech! The party begins at the Main Stage in Party Royale on October 31 at 9 PM ET.
When the Afterlife Party premiere wraps, you can catch rebroadcasts of J Balvin’s performance on November 1 at 1 PM ET and 6 PM ET (10 AM PT and 3 PM PT) — again at the Main Stage. You can also watch the premiere and the 6 PM ET/3 PM PT rebroadcast with your friends on mobile on the Houseparty group video chat app!
Want to wear a costume to the party? A new nightlife take on a Fortnitemares favorite, the Party Trooper Outfit is available in the Item Shop now all the way through November 1 at 8 PM ET!
As a souvenir of your journey with J Balvin into the netherworld, all Party Trooper owners who attend any of the Afterlife Party showings in Fortnite will unlock the exclusive J Balvin style.
New to Party Royale? Find out how to get to Party Royale and the Main Stage in our newcomer’s guide. And if you want a Balvin celebration before the show, drop into Fortnite Creative from October 25 through October 31 to visit La Familia — an island made by community members Iscariote and Davidpkami where you can play minigames based on songs from J Balvin's latest album!
Content creators!
Ahead of the Afterlife Party, we’ve put together some tips to ensure the best possible experience while sharing content to your community.
Creators in our Support-A-Creator program can stream and share on YouTube from October 31 - November 6 without copyright claims or demonetization on Afterlife Party content. After this seven-day window has passed, your video will be demonetized, but no strikes or takedowns should be issued. If you receive a Copyright Claim before the seven-day window has passed, please appeal the claim directly with the rights holders.
Please note that you need to have a valid YouTube channel linked to your Support-A-Creator account prior to the Afterlife Party’s start on October 31 at 9 PM ET. If you would like to add a YouTube channel to your existing Support-A-Creator account, please submit a ticket to Player Support after reading our YouTube linking guide. (We aren’t able to add new creators to the Support-A-Creator program right now. Keep an eye on the website and Fortnite social for updates on the application’s re-opening.)
