Let’s talk about a new way to get V-Bucks! Over the next few weeks, select US retailers will now offer V-Bucks cards available both in-store and online. 

The V-Bucks cards work everywhere you can play Fortnite. After purchasing a V-Bucks card, visit www.fortnite.com/vbuckscard to learn more and redeem your V-Bucks for use on any device. Retailers in Mexico, Canada and Germany are on the way, with more countries coming online as we roll the V-Buck cards out to new regions. 

We also have lots of new Fortnite gear hitting stores in time for the holiday shopping season. Select retailers in the US, United Kingdom, France, and Germany will include a gift code for an in-game Merry Mint Pickaxe free with any purchase of an officially licensed Fortnite product while supplies last*.

Since the release of this post, we’ve seen plenty of questions about our in-store V-Bucks and the Merry Mint Pickaxe giveaway. 


I have not been able to find V-Bucks cards in stores. What retailers are supporting the cards?

Here are the current official retailers supporting V-Bucks cards in the US (with more rolling out over time!):

• Best Buy
• Target
• Walmart
• CVS

As previously noted, V-Buck Cards are coming soon to Mexico, Canada, Germany. Check back here for future updates on V-Bucks card availability. We will continue to update this blog with details on V-Bucks card availability with official retailers.

Players should only purchase V-Bucks cards from authorized retailers listed above.


I’ve been unable to find the Merry Mint Pickaxe redemption card at any of the participating retailers. What’s going on?

Due to the high demand for this item, we continue to replenish retailers’ Merry Mint Pickaxe inventory. Please check with your local retailer to confirm availability. Remember that you must make a purchase of a Fortnite item at a participating retailer to receive a  Merry Mint Pickaxe redemption code.
